It's been a long long time since I last blog.... Last stop in 2010. Here I am... Start my engine and keep writing.
Wanna talk about our recent trip. 3 days 2 nights Genting Dream Cruise. As my parents and bro are very pro (it's like their monthly trip), we decided to follow them for this trip. Dad, Mum, Bro and Ting went there by MRT. They alighted at Marine Bay Cruise Centre and walked a distance for about 3-5mins. Hubby fetched us to the Cruise Centre and the kids were very excited. It was their 1st Dream Cruise trip. They had been on Star Gemini for 7 times. Credit to my parents who are pretty regular and we only paid for seaport taxes and room service charges every time we on board the Cruise.

We gathered at 4.30pm and wanted to board the ship as early as possible to avoid the crowd. I was being stop at the immigration by an officer as they discovered 2 liquid like bottles in my luggage. After explaining to them that those were medicines for the kids, they let us passed without further inspection on the luggage. Walked and walked cos it's a huge ship. The crew took our passports to keepsake and we were told to ensure that we do not lose our cabin cards as they are very very important. We were being brief for the safety on board exercise batches by batches. Took us less than 2 mins and we were in our cabin. A large balcony room this time with 2 big joint beds, a sofa bed on the floor and a bunk bed on top. We were being served with TWG tea bags every day too.

After unpacking the luggage, we went to the 16th floor for their international buffet dinner @ The Lido. OMG!!! A very wide variety. They served from Indian to Western, Chinese, desserts, fruits, drinks (coffee, tea, water and cold milk). There were also a BBQ & grill stations by the pool. Just ensure that you do not exit the area and you will be able to enjoy food from inside out. The crew were always there to standby. We were luck to be there early. A good control of crowd. Mostly locals as the tour group from other countries has yet to board the ship.

We had to leave for the Meet The Dracula Session after a 30 mins rest. Ting was very excited to see "him". Wanted to take picture with Dracula but failed. No choice but to explore the ship while waiting for the story telling show time @ Red Lion (24 hours lounge). We went into the lounge 40 mins earlier as the kids were tired walking around. One of the crew (as you can see from the pics below) was playing hide and seek with Sarah while waiting. To our surprised, Dracula appeared at the story telling session. Story for the day - Little Red Riding Hood. MC asked a few questions about Hotel Travsylvania 3. Though Ting is a big fan and know all the answers, she was way too shy. I had no choice but to keep raising up my hands to answer the questions. So that my little sister get a chance to take pics with Dracula. Up close and personal and gets to shake hand with him too. She was a happy girl then. After the story telling session, we went back to our cabin, ensure that all kids were done with their showers. Got bro to come over to take care of them for a while, while Ting brought me around the ship to explore further (she is a regular too). We brought supper back to the cabin. Bread was stale, cake not nice, too sweet, mini doughnuts were hard and dry. Fried mee siam was good. Kids loved the porridge (fish porridge with preserved olive vegetable).

To be continued...................................................................
Must do things :
1) Proceed to the restaurant which you wanna go to as early as possible to avoid crowd especially on the first day. A must to bring along all cabin cards for meal. Crew will scan all cards accordingly. You can only have a free meal each time. Any additional visit to other restaurant will be charged accordingly.
2) Ensure that all your cabin cards are working well. Otherwise you will have problem during the check out on the last day. Ensure that all cards can access to the cabin. If default, just proceed to the cashier counter and get it done right away
3) If you are not a Genting Cruise member, get the registration done at the same counter too. When anyone bring you onboard again, you won't have to pay for the surcharge. This applies to the free cabin nights given to the privilege members.
4) Book for the show after your meal on the first day. It used to be on a walk in basis. No more for Dream Cruise. You will have to book for the show at the counter. Not at the cashier counter, but the one diagonally opposite it.
